Portugal Music and Cultural Tour, Lisbon and Porto

Singers and traveling companions are invited to join CICA Artistic Director and MidAm International Guest Conductor, Dr. KuanFen Liu, on a music and cultural tour of the great historic cities of Lisbon and Porto. Singers will perform Mozart's Coronation Mass, K. 317 under the baton of Dr. Liu at the Basilica da Estrela featuring Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras and world-class soloists. Singers are invited to perform in an optional concert at the Basilica of Mozart’s Requiem conducted by Peter Tiboris, MidAm International’s Founder and General Music Director. Four cultural tours are included in the residency package: General Tour of Lisbon; Lisbon Museum; Sintra Museum; City Tour of Porto. Singers who live in or near Camarillo, CA are invited to perform the Coronation Mass, K. 317 with the CSU Channel Islands University Chorus on May 4th and 5th, 2024 as part of the Choral Spectacular with Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra. Rehearsals are on Monday nights on the CSUCI campus from 6:30-9 PM and begin January 22, 2024.

Singers in the residency are not required to rehearse or perform with the University Chorus but must arrive at the residency fully prepared for the first rehearsal.
