Trace History – African American Journeys Through Song

Trace History – African American Journeys Through Song traces African American history through traditional and modern spirituals as well as music influenced by them.  The program was designed by CSU Channel Islands Performing Arts Professor, Dr. KuanFen Liu, to further understanding of the complexity of human history and expression and will be performed again by an ensemble from Channel Islands Choral Association.

Join us for our last performance of the season with an eclectic collection of choral music! Featuring works by Vaughan Williams, Dvorak, Berberian, Solomon, Hurwitz, and more.

This year's concert will take place at the St. Columba's Episcopal Church, 1251 Las Posas Road, Camarillo, CA93010

Concert is free with encouraged donations to support music education for children in Venura County.

Support the Pleasant Valley School District (PVSD) Chorus on
June 5th between 5-9PM at El Tecolote Cafe in Old Town Camarillo. 

El Tecolote is generously donating 20% of pre-tax sales to Channel Islands Choral Association (CICA) which sponsors the PVSD Chorus. The Channel Islands Choral Association Chamber singers perform for the Mary Health of the Sick Annual Spring Luncheon at Sherwood Country Club, Westlake Village.

Please see the Mary Health of the Sick website for information.  Proceeds benefit the frail, sick and elderly in the Mary Health Nursing Hospital.
